Community Engagement Campaign
There is no health without mental health. And Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) like Bridges help people address mental health, physical health, substance use, and much more. Their team offers life-changing support and care across a multi-town regional area. When they needed new materials and a fresh message to engage people in the community, they turned to our team to make that happen.
Our challenge was straightforward yet multi-pronged. We had to give the materials a fresh look. They had to have plain language and accessible design. And we needed a simple media plan to meet people where they are in the community.
Community Engagement Campaign
Our team started with assessing how and where the materials would be used. We also spoke with frontline clinicians at Bridges to understand who they serve, what they need, and where they interact. That informed a structured exercise around core message development. Our team focused on retelling the Bridges story in succinct, modern, accessible language. We used a format for their new brochure that had a unique shape and more portable size. For the mobile crisis van, we created a two-sided (English-Spanish) tear-sheet pad. This was a useful tool for community partners who refer people to Bridges. It let them share information about Bridges with their own clients. Finally, we created a multi-community media plan across the regional area. Outdoor media focused on a general message for mental health and collaborative care services, while digital campaigns also focused on Mental Health First Aid courses.
