Suicide prevention takes place person to person at the local level. Yet it’s key for every community to know what strategies work best for their unique needs. That’s where the Suicide Prevention Institute works wonders for North Carolina. Based at the University of North Carolina, their team brought us on board to develop a website that tells their story and helps them expand their work in the state. They needed help to reach more stakeholders, share insights about their work, inspire philanthropy, and make action steps easy to find. This would not only help SPI expand what they do — but truly help people in crisis and save lives. And that is the kind of noble mission that gets us up every morning.
Our challenge was multifaceted. Create a vision for the site from scratch. Create a plan for content on the site, also from scratch. Harness stories to inspire people to get involved. And connect people with data and action steps they need to save lives.
