Challenge

It’s critical to create a system of behavioral health care that’s more accessible and equitable. And that’s what OBC does through its virtual and in-person services across the U.S. Through organic growth and acquisition, their portfolio of practices grew rapidly. They needed to unite several enterprise-level organizations into a single mission-driven and goal-oriented workforce. To do that, they needed a broad strategy roadmap that centered on effective tactics, messaging, and planning to engage their internal staff.

Our challenge was expansive. We had to develop a robust strategy that addressed the unique needs of this specific workforce and organization. We needed to develop specific assets and deliverables as part of that strategy, all of which had to align with specific guidelines for a national brand. And we had to partner with many stakeholders and work across business units to understand, leverage, and assist internal resources.

Our team started with an extensive, detailed strategy development process. We led deep-dive discovery sessions with the OBC leadership team to review data, goals, barriers, questions, and opportunities. That informed a structured approach to develop and optimize a workforce engagement strategy. We also used change management principles to address real-world workforce barriers in the organization. All that background work led to an effective, yearlong engagement strategy. It leveraged multiple channels and tactics to inform, educate, inspire and unite the OBC workforce in one shared mission. Then we shifted into executing the entire strategy. It included everything from pitch decks and podcasts to videos, newsletters, large-scale graphics for events, and materials on collaborative care, credentialing, EHRs, value-based care, patient safety, and more. And all assets aligned with specific brand guidelines and compliance standards.
